Why apply for the scholarship? Anyone who has put dedicated time into the arts should certainly apply. Because this scholarship rewards an interest in the arts, those who have been recognized for artistic activities in the community have a great chance at being awarded this scholarship.
My Story
With the scholarship, I have been able to focus more on my education and not worry about making money to stay in school. It has also given me the security for starting a life away from home. I entered college not even knowing if art was the right choice, but the scholarship has allowed me to focus on opportunities that furthered my interest in museum studies as a career path. I am currently a student worker at the Tarble Arts Center and have had art featured in multiple locations. My undergraduate work has focused on painting and art history studies and I also have taken many independent study credits to prepare for graduate school.
