My Story

As one of the two inaugural recipients in 2015, the Chad Beguelin Fine Arts Scholarship allowed me to continue to pursue my passion of fine arts public relations and marketing. It is no secret that education costs - financially, emotionally, mentally and physically. This unique scholarship allowed me to keep my head in the books, offered me a better balance of school life and real life, and contributed to my success as a Dean's List student and a first-generation graduate student. Through my educational opportunities, I was able to expand my love for not only public relations and marketing within the arts, but also choreography, lighting, costuming, graphic design, copywriting and arts-based fundraising for nonprofit theatres. My work background includes seven seasons at The Muny, America's oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre, as public relations manager and copywriting coordinator. Currently, I am the marketing and public relations manager for the Enterprise Center and Stifel Theatre in downtown St. Louis.
